As a doctor, I give Dr. McMicken a 10. The only reason it's an overall 9 is that the wait sometimes is a little longer than I want to wait, however, that said, he does not rush you during your visit. He listens, asks questions, and doesn't just jump to conclusions. He stays up to date on procedures, medications, and the latest medical trends. He's been in practice here in our little city for over 30 something years. I dread the day he retires - it will be sad for his patients, but good for him. My husband and I have had some serious medical issues and Dr. McMicken has either responded promptly and appropriately - even if it was necessary to refer us to another physician (specialist) or hospital. Another benefit of being his patient is his wife - a nurse practitioner who specializes in diabetic care. She's super. Our little city is blessed to have Dr. and Mrs. McMicken as citizens and medical providers. |
